I have increased the rating to 4 stars to reflect their attempts to provide good, honest and thorough service. I’ve been a State Farm customer for nearly 10 years and had great experiences until this last month. State Farm as a corporation decided to raise rates and was not very open and transparent in this decision. They have paid very minimal claims on me and never once raised my rates. In speaking with the local agent I was informed that I should have gotten something with my bi-annual premium notice regarding the increase. In reviewing my mail there was nothing specifically stating that rates were increasing. In my discussion with the agent regarding my frustration regarding this increase I felt that she was making it more of my issue and that “she has this conversation 5 times a day.” I felt that she could have handled this topic differently and not made it my problem that State Farm decided to raise rates. Uncertain if I will be continuing with this company or if she was having an off day."
